Vintage I Love You Gearing Up For the Holiday Season

So I may be rediscovering using my blog.
The last few years has seen so much change in my personal and business life.

Things way beyond my control.
I would love to say I now just flow with the changes but I try to flow lets just say.

I can honestly and truly say the one consistent thing in my life is Vintage.

The love of vintage I have is not about the treasures I have rounded up.

It is about my Mother and her lessons in teaching me about quality.

18 10 she would say. 18 10? What do you mean Mom.

This little tidbit of good stainless being 18 10.

So funny and how I wish I could show her all I have learned.

She cooked and I mean cooked a lot. She made bread every single day and wore an Apron every single day.

All by scratch. Never by a recipe unless it was something special.

She made the best Pralines. It is almost on autopilot that when I speak of my business it always makes my mind wander back to her.

Enjoy the beautiful Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays upon us.

Love your loved ones. Tell them you love them.

Patriotic Fourth of July and Vintage

One thing I know is I look forward to Summer and to a Patriotic 4th. of July.

Red, White and Blue celebrations of parade, fireworks, watermelon, flag waving and all the fun with it.

Coming from a large family with many Military Veterans it means so much to me personally.

I have loaded up my vintage clothing shop on Etsy with patriotic fashions.

My shop name for vintage clothing is GracefulVtgClothing.

My other shop name for everything but vintage clothing is GracefulAntiquesVtg

Have a very safe fun filled 4th. of July.

Please do not drink and drive.

Happy Mothers Day all you Vintage Lovers

Happy Mothers Day to all you moms out there.
My Mother was a bride in the 1940s. She passed away in the 1980s and I miss her.
So many times I wish she was here so I may ask her how to get through the stuff of life.
One thing she did though was sing the song "Count Your Many Blessings.

I cannot tell you how many times that has come in handy dandy.
No matter what comes there is always something to be thankful for.

I am thankful for the opportunity to sell my vintage treasures online.
I now have 3 shops for vintage online.
One for vintage clothing and one for everything else vintage.

I am still deciding what to do with the one I have had since 2011.

That of course is me with my sucker and the bottom photo is Mama playing the ukulele or small guitar with her friend.

Vintage Rolls Along and So Do I

Hello Blog,

Long time no see. So many changes in life and my vintage business the last few years.
So much tech changes it is very hard to keep up.
Once upon a time there were not 1000s of places to be online.
IMHO this meant all the collectors and lovers of vintage and Antiques were only in several places.

This month I am celebrating my 20th. year in this field.
Till 2002 I did booths and shows in the real world.

I stumbled into online selling in February 2002.

For 10 years I was at one of the oldest online venues out there.
It is Tias.com.
I then went to GoAntiques.com and other places and I mean other.
At one time I had 7 shops on 7 venues.
I went to RubyLane.com first in 2008 and was Exclusive since 2011 there till recently.

In September 2015 I opened on Etsy for my vintage clothing.
https://www.etsy.com/shop/GracefulVtgClothing

It was not the first time I was there.
I had 2 shops there once upon a time but left.

So much like I said has changed at all the venues for vintage and Antiques online and also in the real world.
It is what it is and I try to dance as fast as I can.
