Oh Holy Night. How I love the Christmas Season.

For so many normal reasons as most all do but this time of year is extra special to me.

Years ago I knew it was the last one with my Father and it was.
The Season since means I relish every sound, smell and beauty of it all.

Presents are important but the rush, rush perfection is not. To enjoy all the love of family and friends is truly pure gold. Love with loved ones.

The greatest gift is Love and God is Love.

The birth of Jesus Christ is celebrated by the World in manifested ways.

Every joy and every ounce of the Season is His and the reason to rejoice.

Go Tell It On the Mountain that Jesus Christ is born!

Merry Christmas from me to you and yours. May it be a precious beautiful time with those you love and adore.

I now have over 668 items on Bonanza Marketplace and adding daily. My goal is to have 1000 items by December 1st.
Every category imaginable. Vintage, Antique, New items, Collectibles, Home Decor and much more.

Thought way less traffic of other venues I have been on in the past I no longer feel jerked around and can concentrate on adding my treasures to build my booth.

I have opened also on Ebay for now a shop. This way I can basically send items back and forth from Bonanza to Ebay. No item will be left in my Ebay shop from Bonanza more than 3 months and most no more than 30 days. Why I am trying to build my shop on Bonanza.

Time Marches On

Only thing consistent about life is change.

Time and Season is everything. It is starting to be Summer in Arkansas.

Different flowers and different vegetables growing in the garden.

I am an avid gardener.

One can learn much about life gardening.

Helping plants to make them strong.

Pinching suckers off of tomatoes, dividing roots to make more plants etc.

Isn't that life at times.

We have to force ourselves to do hard things and make hard decisions.

Cutting off dead limbs with no growth on our plants and in our lives.

Will only create new life and a future of possibilities.

This is where I am in my business life.

I look forward with great expectations but also trepidation.

I am a Christian and God gave me my business and gave me the talents and the knowledge to make a successful one since 1996.

It worked for me and met my needs.

I truly adore past treasures and feeling I have a hand in saving a small part of History.

Due to constant changes on the internet out of my control I never really got to fully show the best of my finds.

Maybe I will peek off and on and dabble here and then different times but overall open doors and open windows are awaiting.

Antiques of the Past for the Future

I love Antiques and I especially love the research of them.

Selling since 1996 I have learned a great deal about my inventory.

Through the venues of course I have sold on but also years of research in books and online.

I always am so intrigued any object last 100 years or more. How I always wonder.

Through moves and children and weather conditions. I find it all truly amazing.

Once upon Antique porcelain and such that had broken was even stapled together to repair.

I even find that fascinating. All about the respect of the past and those items that people cherished.

It was not at all like today with mass consumerism. Most stuff now is not made to last long really.

I find that very interesting as well.

The younger ones seem to be alarmed most about climate change and pollution and such.
The whole time they buy everything brand new and seemingly demand bulk cheaper items.

Not all of course and I do not really fault them as they do not have the experience of real quality items and how it used to be.

Once upon a time it was about the craftsmanship and quality and not quantity. Quantity sells more of course. That drives the market.

One can sell one of a kind or Antique or crank out mass amount of bulk items.
I understand this of course.

Perhaps it will be reversed and the true knowledge of History and the beauty of Antiques will be desired again.

I once asked a young dealer about this and about the repurposing trend.

Their answer was oh phooey. We will never run out of old stuff. I disagree completely.

If something is beyond repair I get it. I really do and love seeing what can be made out of these items.

Knowing names of Antiques and History is not passe but not as mainstream as once upon a time IMHO.

I learned from old time Antique dealers and it was ALL about the name.

Paragon, Limoges, Coalport etc.

I loved these old time sellers and I soaked it all in and again was fascinated.

I set out on missions to find these fascinating items they spoke of. I still do but would love if the younger ones would be as fascinated as I was and am still.

Brick and Mortar Shop

This is my logo for my business. I have had 3 different logos for the side of my business that is Graceful Antiques and Vintage Collectibles or GracefulAntiquesVtg.

I have another logo for my Vintage Clothing shop.

I am very excited as I am getting a metal sign made for my little booth in the real World.

Starting in 1996 I have been in several Antique malls in the real World and have also done shows in Texas and in Arkansas.

Selling online is much different and changes constantly then selling in real World settings.

Both have pros and cons.

A wider audience of course on the web but keeping up with tech is daunting at times.

Figuring out what sells on each is also a trial and error. What sells online is different at times then in a certain locality.

What makes it interesting. I love vintage so very much and love the history of Antiques and Vintage.

So back to my beginning of this story here I will be changing out frequently on both online and brick and mortar.

Spring Where are You?

I yearn for Spring and warmer weather. This year seems to be colder and wetter than normal.

I have made so many soups and chili dishes that I want lighter fare.

My businesses as usual are in constant changes.

We have snow here in Arkansas today and much of the country as well.
Do not forget to feed the little birds. They will love you for it.

I feed them year round and for that effort get such beauty and delight.

The birds help with the garden and we also have Hawks that come from time to time to get rid of any critters that one does not want in the yard.

Sit and enjoy a cup of hot tea looking out the window at the beautiful birds.
